DENIM LOVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS FOR YOU!!!!

Guys you know that I am a Denim Queen. My two favorite fabrics are Denim and Leather. Seeing to it that leather cannot be worn as the weather gets warmer you can definitely rock the Denim.
Here are a few pointers for both men and women on how to rock your denim.
Check out how Rihanna Rocked her Denim vest. She paired it with white distressed denim pants,a white tank top and flat oxford shoes.
Ciara paired her denim vest with white shorts, a tank top and a wedge heel.

Kim Kardashian paired her vest with white tank top and black leggings
I paired my customized denim vest with a white burnout tshirt and printed leggings.

You can add your Denim Vest to create a masculine, rock edge to any look. Such as a floral print dress, a maxi dress or you an just use it as an accessory layering piece.

Guys I havent forgot about you.

Chris Brown paired his denim with matching jeans and a blue tshirt

Guys don't be afraid to rock a denim vest. You can always use this as an accessory piece as well. You can layer it over a plain tshirt or a graphic tshirt.

Just a lil Style Pointer.

Diva Lounge/BET/Fashion Row/Touch Of Heaven/Vera Moore Donates to Bronx HS

As people grow in their career, never forget where you come from. Although you may be fortunate in your opportunities there are so many others that are less fortunate. Remember the youth and always try to give back to your community.

Last wee Diva Lounge got the opportunity to collaborate with BET/Fashion Row/Touch Of Heaven Hair Salon & Vera Moore Cosmetics. We joined forces and donated prom dress to 8 less fortunate Bronx teens. New Explorers HS in the Bronx had their Prom this past wednesday and when I got the call that they were in need of dresses, make-up, and hair, I immediately jumped on it. In our BET Wardrobe office we already had a few dresses to send, Rachel Roy donated 4 dresses, a few of my friends went around collecting about a total of 12 dress. It was such a great turn out. Special thanks to Touch of Heaven Hair Salon Located on 169th street and Grant Avenue in the Bronx. They did 6 of the girls hair free of charge. Vera Moore Cosmetics donated 15 cosmetic bags with lipgloss in it. The girls looked so beautiful and it was a great success.

Check out some of the pics:

It was a great turn out!!!!!

Next year will be bigger and better

Diva Lounge Radio Show 5/7/10 Entertainment News & Show Run down

Hey,

If you missed last weeks Diva Lounge Radio Show, check out the entertainment news that we discussed:

• Gabriella Union is being sued by D Wades ex wife for breaking up their marriage.

• Atlanta producer Bangladesh is sueing Lil Wayne for $500,000 in Royalties for producing “A Milli”.

• Gucci Mane also fires Wakka Flokka’s mom Debbie from being his manager.

• Naiomi Campbell appeared on Oprah for an interview and she got really emotional while discussing certain topics. She talked about her temper tantrums, anger management, coke problem, and relationships.

• Damon Dash is re-launching Rocafella records with his new artist Curren$y . Dash has secured a deal with LA Reid Def Jam. Curren$y's debut album Pilot Talk is scheduled to hit stores June 15.

Damon Dash states:
"Def Jam or Universal bought the brand. I think the 'beef' [with us and Jay-Z] was that Jay made it clear he didn't want me or Biggs to be a part of it. That's really where it was at. Now that he doesn't work for Def Jam anymore, he doesn't have the right to use the name. So there's no reason for us not to use it. It's there, and it's a brand that's not being used. So I was like, 'I'll take it.' It always meant something to me."

"It's a way more positive movement," he added about the label's new incarnation. "It's what I wanted Roc-A-Fella, what I thought it should be 10 years after I started it."

Also last week on the Diva Lounge Radio Show we had the pleasure of interviewing Hitz Committee/Trakmasters/Jive Records recently signed artist Tydis.

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri Tydis learned to write and perform at a young age. Tydis describes his music as urban pop with his with his sultry sound hitting high pitched notes. Tydis is currently under  The Family Tree Management and signed with Trak Stars Production and Hitz Committee. He has a new single out titled "Make Me Say" feat. New Boyz. Definetly look out for this guy he is a star in the making.

We also interviewed Kali Boi and D.V.D

Emerging and aspiring Rapper Prota

Get in the studio. Make a mix tape. Flood the market and pray for

reign. In this unpredictable industry climate, one artist is just as
unpredictable.

Prota, born Dwayne Knightner, Jr., takes the stage show to levels not normally seen by the average hip-hop crowd. Cooking up an eclectic mix of hip-hop, pop, and electronic music, the South Bronx emcee is ready to turn the scene on its ear. Born in Adak, Alaska to military parents, he has a swagger that can't be easily understood by most hip-hop fans. However, his smooth flow, aggressive delivery, and intelligent lyrical content has earned him both a great deal of respect not only in the streets, but in the music industry as well. What started as battling his peers in the cafeteria in Cardinal Hayes
High School, and on the streets of his South Bronx hometown, has become a budding career in music.
"I was deep in the battling thing, whether for money or for pride, I just knew I had too much to say. I had to rap, naturally. Then my mom bought me a small studio setup, and I recorded homemade mixtapes, down to my own cover art, and passed them out in my neighborhood, until everyone knew my name, and ultimately I won their respect. After that, its just been a blur." "My parents, or most of my family, for that matter, don't work or even have interest in music. I'm not a thug, or any type of hood guy, but I'm from the hood. My music reflects all sides of the spectrum, from the beautiful to the ugly. I make music to live to. I don't want to be the guy that gets called out for rapping about guns he didn't shoot, or drugs he didn't sell. I want everyone to be able to agree or disagree with MY point of view. I believe that music is subjective and should make people dance and think as well."Prota, which is the ancient Greek prefix for "the first, the hero, or the new" is truly multi-faceted. he possesses the versatility to not only make popular music, but also alternative music. His influences include A Tribe Called Quest, Daft Punk, Kanye West, Busta Rhymes, and also indie groups Empire Of The Sun, MGMT, and Vampire Weekend. "I'm the kid that stayed in his room and stretched his imagination to its limits. I've had my share of hard times, which I think adds soul to my music, but I make my music, inspired by music itself." Be on the look out for more material, leading up to an EP released through his own Lifestyle Brand and internet blog, "High+Depth", called "Thank You For (Not) Hating: An American Love Story". "High+Depth is like this. You are only as high as your depth. Meaning you can only achieve what you truly believe you can. if I can do it, so can everyone else out there. All you have to do is want it, and believe you can have it. High self esteem adds to the depth of your character. Grind to shine."

When you mix street, love, soul, and sexy together, there’s nothing better than the sounds and looks of Mandee Mone’t. The 22 year old singer, songwriter, and dancer has been on the music grind since the age of 11. singing in a church choir caught her fascination with sound of harmony and she quickly began to write and arrange songs. Soon she began to consider taking her talents to the next level and making it a career. After her first recording studio session at the age of 17, she never looked back. Mandee became involved in singing groups including (Taj), an R&B trio. She also taught hip hop dance to the youth throughout the NYc area being that dance was another one of her passions. One of her proudest moments as a Taj member was opening up for neyo at Utopia Paradise Theatre. After the group began to deter, Mandee realized that she had grown more as an artist and a young woman and decided to go solo. Now she represents young women all around the world who dream.
